Payments are held in escrow by Stripe and released after work completion. Handymen on the platform are independent contractors. We do not employ, vet, screen, or guarantee any handyman — homeowners are responsible for evaluating handymen before hiring. See our Terms of Service for details.

How We Are Different
Fixed Prices
Every quote is a firm, upfront price. No hourly billing, no surprise charges, no price gouging after a storm.
Stripe Escrow
Funds are held in escrow via our payment processor (Stripe) and released according to the Dispute Resolution Policy. Your payment is released to the handyman after you approve the completed work or the review window closes, unless a dispute is opened.
Ratings After Each Job
Homeowners can rate and review a handyman once a job's payment is released, and those reviews appear on the handyman's profile. Handymen are independent contractors — Hurricane Handyman does not verify their credentials.
